Treble celebrates the recognition of DHL Lifesaving South Africa at the recent Hollard Sport Industry Awards, where the campaign received acclaim for its impact and alignment with brand purpose.
As the long-time delivery partner of DHL Lifesaving SA, Treble supports all aspects of sponsorship delivery, from branding and logistics to event operations and digital strategy. The 2024/25 season was a standout example of the partnership’s reach and relevance, with meaningful initiatives that reflected DHL’s commitment to connecting people and saving lives.
Over 1,000 professional lifeguards across 14 municipalities were equipped with essential DHL duty kit and equipment, including gazebos, umbrellas, and patrol flags. For the voluntary clubs, Treble managed the delivery of 2,700 sets of shirts, shorts, and hats, along with 1,500 anoraks and new branded duty swimming costumes rolled out nationwide.
Permanent DHL branding was expanded to three more high-traffic beaches, now visible year-round at ten clubs across the country. The DHL Watersmart Program also reached new milestones, with more than 54,000 learners participating in face-to-face training and nearly 25,000 users engaging with the new e-learning hub.
Treble helped coordinate twelve major summer activations, including high-profile events at Clifton, Kings Beach, and the Midmar Mile. These activations raised awareness around lifesaving, water safety, and the sport itself — while reinforcing DHL’s strong visual presence and brand purpose.
At the 2024 World Lifesaving Championships in Australia, DHL’s support helped South African athletes compete at the highest level, several of whom returned as world champions. National pride was again on full display at the DHL Lifesaving SA Championships in Gqeberha, where Kings Beach and Newton Park hosted a memorable week of top-tier competition.
“It’s always rewarding to work on campaigns that genuinely make a difference. The synergy between DHL and Lifesaving SA is real, and we’re proud to help shape a partnership that honours everyday heroes,” said Carmen Taylor, Senior Account Manager at Treble Group.
