Treble continues to deliver world-class hospitality and entertainment at DHL Newlands

Newlands, Cape Town – Treble Group was present at DHL Newlands to provide hospitality and entertainment to the thousands of spectators who arrived to watch the DHL Stormers take on the Jaguares, on Saturday, March 4, 2017.

The DHL Stormers started a winning streak, with a 32-25 score against the Jaguares. Treble continued as the event managers of Castle Lawns, activating the ever-popular beer garden on behalf of Club Newlands, in partnership with South African Breweries. A large crowd of spectators filled the Lawns to sit back and relax before the game. The atmosphere was chilled but cheerful as garden-goers filled benches and spread out on the grass, Castle Lagers in hand!

The DHL Newlands food and beverage solution was also taken care of in the usual seamless and successful fashion. The stadium bars and kiosks were bustling with thirsty and hungry fans and we and our vendors delivered generously. The 100’s Bar and exclusive Club Newlands Lounge were crowded with patrons, regular and new.

Half-time entertainment was taken care of in-part, by our activation team, who manage the DHL Delivery Half-Time Run Challenge. The competition itself was another rocket-success, with winner Annemaree Meyer grabbing the R 1,000 prize!

At the end of the match, we activated the exclusive PostNet Kids Signing Session, where 20 lucky kids from Paarl got to meet and greet their favourite DHL Stormers players and get their t-shirts signed right in the centre of the hallowed DHL Newlands field.

The Treble team was extremely happy with the second home game at DHL Newlands and we cannot wait for the next home game, when the DHL Stormers take on the Toyota Cheetahs on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Treble kicks off 2016 with a Bright new sponsorship

The Treble Group is proud to announce that life insurance player; BrightRock has signed a three-year Official Associate Sponsorship agreement with DHL Stormers and DHL Western Province, effective from January 2016.

BrightRock has rapidly established itself as one of the fastest-growing players in the intermediated individual life market in South Africa.

According to BrightRock executive director Suzanne Stevens, the partnership echoes the company’s strong performance to date and will help grow the awareness of its brand among consumers in its target market.

Stevens commented: “We’re thrilled to be involved with two of South Africa’s most beloved rugby properties and helping to bring top-class rugby action to such a large, diverse and passionate fan base across South Africa”.

BrightRock’s involvement as a business sponsor for the DHL Western Province and DHL Stormers teams will be visible in the DHL Newlands stadium and the BrightRock logo will proudly appear on the back of all match-day jerseys.

Treble conceptualised, marketed and ultimately secured the BrightRock sponsorship opportunity. The collaboration seemed a good fit as the insurance player required a sporting property which could give them the branding and experiential platform to launch their brand to the broader South Africa market.

Treble Group’s Managing Director, Kyle Nel, has a long standing relationship with Suzanne Stevens. Together, Treble and BrightRock reviewed a number of opportunities. Ultimately the WP Rugby and BrightRock association has presented a strategic fit as to where BrightRock is with their current brand and business strategy.

We look forward to working with the dynamic BrightRock team on this exciting new venture.
