24 Days ’till we walk Durban together!

The Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk event is a mass participation walking event staged in Durban during the month of May.

The event has grown from strength to strength, starting with just 1800 walkers in 2004 and growing to over 30 000 participants today! This has become Kwazulu-Natal’s most walked and talked about event and one that we are truly proud to be a part of. Without the loyal support of the walkers, it would not be possible to host an event of this calibre.

This year, the Durban Big Walk embraces the core of what the Big Walk is truly about; “walking Durban together”. The event caters for the entire family and for people from all walks of life.

We would like to say thank you to our valued sponsors and partners; Discovery, East Coast Radio, aQuelle,  Pick n Pay, RAM, Daily News, Volkswagen ,Totalsports, Supersport and Pick n Pay Sun Sure. Our shared vision has made this event what it is today.

The 2015 Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk event has reached capacity numbers after just one month of opening entries! Now the big countdown begins…

Treble activates the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk for the 6th time

Even if you were in a wheelchair, recovering from an operation, or your knees were stiff and painful, you would have enjoyed the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk, participants said after reaching the finish on Sunday, 18 May.

The Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk has been held each year since 2004, and this year more than 30 000 participants walked from uShaka Marine World to the People’s Park at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Once again, it did not disappoint, and participants included young and old, able and disabled.

At the park at the end of the race, those whose legs remained fresh joined an impromptu fitness training session in front of the stage, as music was played for the crowds. Others danced.

As organisers of the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk, the Treble Group was once again proud to stage this popular event for the 6th time.

This year, the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk embraced The Big Walk to Freedom theme – the freedom to make choices; the freedom to do business; the freedom to do anything you please; the freedom to take part in one of the most anticipated events on Kwazulu-Natal’s sport and leisure calendar.

As an agency, we are honoured to be part of this event and working with East Coast Radio on this prestigious event.
