The International Surf Rescue Challenge is a 3-day international surf lifesaving competition with 9 countries competing over 22 surf and beach events for top honours. The 2019 competition will be hosted from 28 September – 2 October in Durban.
The International Surf Rescue Challenge (ISRC) is owned by Lifesaving Australia, Lifesaving NZ and Lifesaving South Africa and it incorporates the Trans-Tasman Challenge and Tri Nations Challenge. South Africa has previously hosted this event twice, i.e. in 2005 and 2009.
Countries represented include Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, France, UK, Japan, USA and SA.
