Team Qhubeka ASSOS is a movement for social mobility – A purpose-led high-performance team fighting to win on the world’s biggest stage with aim of inspiring hope and creating opportunity. The dream is that Africa has always deserved to be represented at the highest level of Pro-Cycling.
Founded in 2007, Team Qhubeka ASSOS became the first African cycling team to gain a World Tour licence in 2016. This coming after the team’s first major win, when Gerald Ciolek won Milan-San Remo in 2013 – one of the five monuments of cycling.
More success has followed since, with Team Qhubeka ASSOS already competing in six Tour de Frances and notching up seven stage wins on the world’s prestigious and most-watched cycling tour.
