‘Light a Fire for DHL Newlands’
On Saturday, 4 July, which would have been the first Test between the Springboks and Scotland in Cape Town, BrightRock, along with the DHL Stormers, Times Live and the Treble Group held a live broadcast from DHL Newlands.
“Light a Fire for DHL Newlands” included some favourite memories and stories shared by the likes of Siya Kolisi, Cheslin Kolbe, Robbie Fleck, Gert Smal, John Dobson, Bongi Mbonambi, Scarra Ntubeni, Steven Kitshoff, Corne Krige, Jean de Villiers, Breyton Paulse and some special DHL Stormers fans.
The event was hosted by none other than Bryan Habana, Elma Smit and the always funny Siv Ngesi. Fires were lit and the many tales were shared around South Africa’s favourite meeting place, the trusty braai.
Fans were encouraged to join the live stream and getting their coals ready for an unforgettable virtual experience at DHL Newlands with the DHL Stormers’ rendition of Johnny Clegg’s ‘The Crossing’ rounding the event.
