Treble continues fun, food and drink activations for Currie Cup at DHL Newlands

Newlands, Cape Town – The Currie Cup entered the iconic DHL Newlands rugby stadium this past weekend as DHL Western Province played against the Steval Pumas on home ground, and delivered an outstanding performance with a 34-19 win. It was a combination of DHL Red and Yellow plus Western Province Blue and White as the faithful welcomed the Currie Cup season and amassed to back their boys!

Treble’s events and communications teams spearheaded the return of Currie Cup season with continued excellence. The Club Newlands Lounge and 100s Bar were both open to welcome fans to the stadium. We were happy to see faithful, regular and new, diving in and gearing up to support their team. We also activated all the stadium bars and food kiosks, making sure that fans were taken care of for food and drink!

The DHL Half-Time Run Challenge returns for Currie Cup, to keep fans entertained. Our events team activated the competition successfully and crowned Steve Bergman as the R 1,000 cash prize winner! We also took care of the DHL Couch Experience winners, who could not stay in their seats on the edge of the field, just meters away from the rugby action!

The match ended with exclusive PostNet Kids Signing Session. This was a bundle of success and smiles as we took the kids onto the hallowed DHL Newlands pitch to meet and greet the players. We are always delighted to work with PostNet to bring kids from our community closer to rugby.

Treble is extremely excited to be a part of the DHL Newlands action again for the Currie Cup. We look forward to activating and delivering our world-class offering for the rest of the season.
