Treble delivers smooth activation for DHL Newlands Super Rugby send-off

Newlands, Cape Town – This past weekend saw DHL Newlands Rugby Stadium buzzing with thousands of rugby fans for the much-anticipated Super Rugby quarterfinal between the DHL Stormers and the Chiefs. The DHL Stormers played hard but ultimately, the result was disappointing.

Treble continued to oversee the competition activations on behalf of DHL Africa. Eight lucky winners of the DHL Couch Experience got to watch all the rugby action right on the field, just meters away from the goal posts! And our team of professionals were back on the field at half-time to managed the DHL Half-Time Run Challenge, where five lucky contestants got to charge across the field and back for a cash prize of R1,000, courtesy of DHL Africa.

At the end of the match, we activated the exclusive PostNet Kids Signing Session. PostNet invited 20 girls from the Bettaway Organization for a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the DHL Stormers.

The DHL Newlands food and beverage solution was also taken care of in the usual seamless and successful fashion. The stadium bars and kiosks were bustling with thirsty and hungry fans and we and our vendors delivered generously. The 100’s Bar and exclusive Club Newlands Lounge were crowded with patrons, regular and new, and the Club Newlands Castle Lawns saw a great Super Rugby send-off with a packed crowd.

Treble has truly enjoyed being part of the Super Rugby action at DHL Newlands. We would like to thank the Western Province Rugby, the DHL Stormers, DHL Africa, PostNet Southern Africa, South African Breweries and BokRadio for making this a memorable experience. We now look forward to igniting the stadium for the Currie Cup!
