Treble Group Set To Feed Masses At The Derby Game Of The Rugby Season!

Newlands – Sports marketing and entertainment firm Treble Group, are set to feed the masses at what is being pegged as the derby of the rugby season. Treble Group has provided the Food & Beverage solutions to many large-scale sporting events, including HSBC Cape Town Sevens & Durban’s East Coast Radio Discovery Big Walk.

As the team prepares to feed in excess of 35 000 famished and parched rugby fans this weekend, attendees can expect a wide variety of refreshments including curries, burgers, fish & chips, donuts, ice-cream and the rugby supporter’s staple, biltong.

Running a tight ship, Operations Manager at Treble Group, Sherwyn Thompson prepares for a busy game day, servicing not only the vending stations around the stadium, but also the watering holes dotted around the property.

‘We are pleased to be the Food & Beverage provider at Newlands Rugby stadium for another season running. The opportunity to feed such a large crowd as well as the challenges faced in doing so is our specialty. We are committed to constantly improving our contribution.’ – Sherwyn Thompson, Treble Group.

One outstanding feature which has become a crucial part of Newlands rugby culture is the famous Castle Lawns, activated by Treble at the old Mill House, a prominent figure in the rich heritage story of Newlands rugby.

The iconic Castle Lawns will host members of the public for a festive ‘pre-match’ before they make their way into the stadium to witness the action on the pitch. SAB and Peninsula Beverages provide the beverage solution while visitors are entertained by the various activations which take place on the greens.  The Treble Group operations team ensures a pleasant experience in a controlled environment where revelers can safely celebrate the sport they love.
